Choosing a Plan
After you’ve completed the first step of enrolling in Medicare with Social Security Administration your next move is to choose a Medicare plan.
As you age, your health and financial needs may change, but know that you are not locked into any one medicare plan. In fact, Medicare provides an Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) that allows Medicare beneficiaries to make changes to their coverage. In addition to this AEP, any life events such as moving to another area or losing retiree coverage can open up a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) as well.

There are a few considerations to make now that you’re eligible for medicare. The first is to understand the two different types of plans available, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage.
