Using GoodRx.com can save you a huge amount of money on prescriptions drugs.

This tool is especially helpful for Medicare beneficiaries who have entered or are close to entering “the Donut Hole” (aka coverage gap).

If after using GoodRx to save on prescriptions, you are still having problems affording your drugs, there are state assistance programs that you may qualify for.

Specifically, you can apply for programs that are income-based. These programs have varying levels of assistance based on your taxable income.

As a reminder, Medicare is a program that is typically available to seniors age 65 and up, however some people qualify if they’ve had a disability for longer than 24 months.
