Surprisingly, enrollments in to Plan A only represent 1% of medigap enrollments. Find out why further on in this article. Plan A is one of the 10 standardized medicare supplement plans.

Medicare Supplement Plan A provides coverage for individuals who are less than 65 years old. This represents individuals who have been automatically enrolled into Medicare due to a qualified disability.

If you or someone you know has a qualifying disability, they can choose between a Medicare Advantage plan or Medigap Plan A. These same individuals are not able to select other Medigap plans, such as Plan F or G until their 65th birthday.

1. Plan F offers a high-deductible plan. This plan requires you to pay a $2,700 deductible in 2024 before it covers anything.
2. Plan K has an out-of-pocket yearly limit of $7,060 in 2024. After you pay the out-of-pocket yearly limit and yearly Part B deductible, it pays 100% of covered services for the rest of the calendar year.
3. Plan L has an out-of-pocket yearly limit of $3,530 in 2024. After you pay the out-of-pocket yearly limit and yearly Part B deductible, it pays 100% of covered services for the rest of the calendar year.
4. Plan N pays 100% of the Part B coinsurance, except for a copayment of up to $20 for some office visits and up to a $50 copayment for emergency room visits that don’t result in an inpatient admission.
